Never mind the “signing ceremony” we saw during Obama’s visit to Moscow in June. Negotiations over the successor to the START treaty continue behind closed doors. The lack of news has prompted some quiet questions on the progress of the talks.
ER favorite Sergei “Who the f*#@ are you to lecture me” Lavrov has emerged with an answer:
"We will have something to report by Pittsburgh," the Foreign Minister said.
...As in the G-20 Leader’s Summit, in Pittsburgh. Between now and then, however, we can only ponder the surreal possibility that Lavrov got caught up in the hype over the Woodstock anniversary and dropped a little Joan Baez into his iPod.
