"Hottest Heads of State"

So a friend of Remont sent this to me this morning. It's a Web site called "Hottest Heads of State". If you take a quick glance, you will not surprised that the number one spot goes to Yulia Tymoshenko. How could it not? Look at her. You might, however, be surprised, dismayed, confused, astonished, a little sick to your stomach to see that the number 12 spot goes to none other than Alexander Lukashenko. I'm not kidding. Some of the people he beat out: Barack Obama (15) and Vladimir Putin (18).

Before we start demanding a recount, let's look at how the owners of this site came up with this ranking. According to the first FAQ:

"As most people except for you realize, hotness is a subjective quality. That said, if you make a convincing enough argument in our “comments” section, we will adjust the rankings. Note: Comments arguing that Alexander Lukashenko is not that hot will be ignored."

This is a most disturbing Web site.

Oh and, Yulia, keep the hair down girl. Wow.

Seriously, I think she keeps the braid to tone down the beauty. Otherwise, all of Ukraine would just keep fainting everytime they looked at her. And somehow even less would get accomplished in my favorite eastern european country.

Every time I see a photo of Lukashenko I start humming "Springtime for Hitler"--don't know why that might be...

1. That list goes downhill REALLY fast.

2. I love how Putin is in a wife-bearter when everyone else is wearing a tie.

We call that "Native Garb", Daniel

ROTFL.

So many reactions.

1. Agree with Pirates

2. Jens Stoltenberg: Mrrreow! Can ER start covering Norway? I think Prime Minister Stoltenberg may be the next to play James Bond.

3. Although I am no fan of Putin's, I must admit that he is hotter than Lukashenka and I might even take the sidebar quiz to try to push him up the list.

4. Although technically not a head of state, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is a cutie. In this group of individuals, I think he'd make it in the 20-30 category. It would be just like Poland's ranking in world economies: can't qualify for the G-20, but would make it into the G-25.

Yeah, there really should be a Web site devoted to Jens.

Good grief. =)

Sorry to be a downer, but Yulka is head of government, not head of state.

Also Queen Rania of Jordan is not in the Top 10. WTF?!

Hehe, good point.

But the ranking will be correct in three months, so let's not get too technical.

Pretty worthwhile info, thank you for the article.

I can't believe how good Yulia looks. In every pic I've seen of her.

She doesn't look like a head of state - she looks like an A list actress who is playing a role as a head of state in a movie.

I will have this woman!

As Conan said, that which is best in life is "to crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."
