Is Russia is Stealing Magnetic North?

Alright, Putin hasn’t stolen it – yet. However, scientists do report that the magnetic north pole has accelerated its southern drift towards Russia.

According to National Geographic, the pole is moving towards Russia at a rate of 40 miles each year -- the fastest rate of change ever recorded. Are we watching the start of an apocalyptic shift in the magnetic field? The earth undergoes such a change every 300,000 years.

Nobody knows.

But if the Mayans get their way, we’re all toast in 2012 anyway.

Might be time to rethink that big purchase of 2 year treasury bills.

Russia is stealing Canada's magnetic north? I've alerted our PM in this matter. Canadian intelligence was caught off-guard: At this time of year we are at war with those ruthless little baby seals. I'm glad to announce that we are winning the fight-but with no help from our supposed NATO allies. It may take us a few months to get a 40-year-old helicopter up there to investigate this matter. If it proves true all Canadian forces will go to DEFCOM 1 (which, in Canada, means impolite letter writing).
