Христос ся рождає!

Today is Ukrainian Christmas, Merry Christmas to all. And some advice for our friends in Europe: wrap another blanket around you, because that gas isn't coming back on any time soon. Don't forget to thank Gazprom for that lovely Christmas gift.

Christ is born?

Crist himself is born? (What is that a reflexive?)

OMG, yes, it's the old version of the reflexive. Why you gotta bust my chops every time I use Ukrainian on the blog?

Because I secretly love Ukranian.

"Hada...Khumza..Zhunda..."

That's what it sounds like to my ear.

Ern, don't be biased, the Ukraine should also be thanked for extra blanket, shouldn't she?

A company (Gazprom) is responsible to get its product to its paying customers (Europe). When this happened the first time (YEARS AGO) I would have blamed Ukraine, but as it stands, it is Gazprom's responsibility to deliver its product. Ukraine shouldn't be stealing gas and should pay its bills; but that should not necessitate an emergency on Europe's part.
