Roman Abramovich’s $47,000 Dinner Tab…

In these tough times, it's good to see that some Russian billionaires haven't noticed. The tip alone was $7,300 (auto-grat, of course).

My to-do list for 2010: make friends with Roman Abramovich.

  1. It's amazing that a $47K dinner receipt would be printed on the same crappy paper and the same goofy font that McDonalds uses. I would have expected it to be engraved or perfumed or something.

  4. Lol, Dmitri... =)

Sublime, I saw that, but didn't put the pieces together until someone sent me a link. It's funny, either way.

And Daniel, if I was there, I'd be the one ordering the $12 water.

  6. What a lousy choice from the menu. Calamari and tiramisu, that's tourist fodder on the Dalmatian coast, and at least the calamari is fresh.

You would think his taste might have improved with his bank balance. But then he's an oligarch. Says it all.

  7. Oh, OK.

Also, Nello's gets really poor reviews. A place to show off your wealth, not experience a good culinary experience. Which explains why Abramovich chose it, of course.

  8. Oh how similar our lives are Abramovich.. except you move the decimal point 4 spaces to the left for every transaction.. and I don't have a super yacht which just HAS to be slightly bigger than my rival oligarchs. these guys amaze me sometimes..
